Samantha Barry is a world-renowned media executive, award-winning editor, and global leader in audience transformation. Most recently, she served as Global Editorial Director of Glamour, overseeing editorial vision and strategy across the United States, United Kingdom, Mexico, Spain, and Germany, following seven years as Editor-in-Chief of Glamour America.

Barry led the iconic women’s media brand through a defining period of transformation, expanding its global reach, evolving its storytelling for changing media habits, and strengthening its cultural influence. She oversaw agenda-setting journalism and global initiatives including an investigation into child marriage with Amal Clooney, Michelle Obama, and Melinda French Gates; award-winning advocacy around paid family leave; and the expansion of Glamour’s Women of the Year franchise.

Previously, Barry was Executive Producer for Social and Emerging Media at CNN, where her team earned the network’s first Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Social Media. Her career also includes RTÉ, the BBC, and reporting from Papua New Guinea for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
